Making theatre & culture accessible

Education

Thanks to the support provided to us by the Arts Council England and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport via the culture recovery fund, we are reaching out further to schools up and down the UK.

Over this academic year, the National Production Company is investing in several projects to grow awareness and enrich understanding of theatre and culture. Although we believe you cannot replace a live performance, a digital one is helping us to engage those who, due to their circumstances, may be unable to access such a performance.

We begin this journey by working with Terry Deary, author of Horrible Histories, to bring you Talking Deads. Talking Deads are many monologues by characters from this island's past. Meet Queen Boudicca, William the Conquer and Queen Victoria. Find out some fascinating facts and get a glimpse of the production process. It is aimed at students 8+.

Over the coming months, we will add more content to Talking Deads, create Ourstory (a history resource for primary schools), and add a whole new series relating to Shakespeare. So be sure to keep heading back.

Are you are a school? Please get in touch with your ideas, comments and suggestions to info@nationalproductioncompany.com. We are always keen to hear your feedback.
