Making theatre & culture accessible
Thanks to the support provided to us by the Arts Council England and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport via the culture recovery fund, we are reaching out further to schools up and down the UK.
Over the course of this academic year, the National Production Company is investing in a number of projects to drive awareness, grow interest and enrich understanding of theatre and culture. Although we believe you cannot replace a live performance, a digital one is helping us to engage those, who due to their circumstances, may be unable access such a performance.
We begin this journey by working with Terry Deary, author of Horrible Histories, to bring you Talking Deads. Talking Deads are number of monologues by characters from this islands past. Meet Queen Boudicca, William the Conquer and Queen Victoria. Find out some fascinating facts as well as get a glimpse of how it was made. Aimed at students 8+.
Over the coming months we will be adding more content to Talking Deads and a whole new series relating to Shakespeare. So be sure to keep heading back.
